About Jonathan

Jonathan Edwin Holland, 18 years young, was born March 9, 2005, and went to be with the angels on the evening of November 1, 2023. “Johnny Boy,” “Fat Boy,” and “Mama’s Mini Me” will always be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, and work ethic.

Those who knew Jonathan have lost a shining light in their lives. He was truly a gentle giant, and we are blessed for the time God gave us with him. We find comfort in knowing he has gone to prepare a place for us in the skies.

His Life and Passion

Jonathan, the cherished and beloved son of Nathan and Karen Holland and loving big brother of Grayson T. Holland, spent his lifetime in Henderson. From not knowing what to do with a newborn to raising a hardworking, kind, and humble young man, his parents are at a complete loss.

As a boy, Jonathan enjoyed anything outdoors. From riding his bicycle, jumping on the trampoline, and playing with his dog Bailey, he was an active kid and always kept us on the move. His parents taught him how to hunt and fish at a young age, and those were hobbies he found joy in.

His Legacy

Jonathan attended Henderson schools and graduated in May 2023. He was part of the fishing league for years and always seemed to catch the “keepers.” Spending time in the shop with his dad, he learned the skill of welding and created award-winning projects.

In August, he started the Electrical Lineman Program at Texas State Technical College in Marshall. He wanted to pursue a career that he had seen several family friends be successful in over the years.

Fat Boy Lawn Care

Not only was Jonathan talented in many different areas, but he was also a young entrepreneur. Fat Boy Lawn Care is a lawn and landscaping service that Jonathan built and developed over the last few years. His clients praised him for being such a hard-working boy, saying he had the work ethic of generations past.
